Tragic Collision: 26-Year-Old Long Island Resident Passes Away Due to Injuries.
According to authorities, a young man from Long Island passed away as a result of injuries sustained in a severe car crash that occurred a few days before his death.
In North New Hyde Park, the crash happened on Friday, June 2, shortly before 7 p.m.
Nassau County Police reported that Ibrahim Ahmed, a 26-year-old from Floral Park, passed away as a result of injuries he sustained.
While heading east on Hillside Avenue, Ahmed crashed into a 54-year-old man's 2009 Toyota Rav4, while riding his 2019 Kawasaki Motorcycle.
Police stated that the Toyota had initially been heading towards the west, but later veered towards the north and entered a nearby parking lot.
Ahmed suffered severe injuries and was taken to a hospital close by. Sadly, he passed away a few days later due to those injuries.
Detectives have previously noted that the investigation is still underway.
