Tragic incident in Brentwood home: A man fatally stabbed his wife and 2-year-old daughter, according to police reports.
According to authorities, a man has been apprehended for the fatal stabbing of his wife and daughter inside their Brentwood residence on Sunday.
As per the police, officers were dispatched to a residence on Jefferson Avenue in response to a stabbing incident involving Zanoor Jaffari, who attacked his wife, Misbah Batool, and their daughter, Iazia Zanoor.
Batool, aged 33, and Zanoor, aged 2, were taken to South Shore University Hospital in Bay Shore, where they were declared deceased.
Jaffari was taken to Good Samaritan University Hospital in West Islip for medical assessment and subsequently discharged.
Jaffari, aged 31, has been charged by the police with two counts of second-degree murder.
