Authorities reported that a shooting occurred on Long Island late at night and injured a 17-year-old and another individual.
According to the Suffolk County Police Department, the event took place at around 12:10 a.m. in North Bay Shore on Sunday, May 28th.
The young man, who was 17 years old, and another male companion were struck by gunfire while standing at the intersection of Benton Place and Pine Acres Boulevard.
The adolescent was hit on two occasions and had to be taken to a nearby hospital for medical attention for his wounds.
Officials reported that his partner was grazed by a bullet, but he refused any type of medical aid.
Currently, the shooter's identity remains undisclosed.
