PORT JEFFERSON, NY — Long Islanders looking for some laughs this weekend can head to Port Jefferson, where the Long Island Comedy Festival is returning to Theatre Three with an all-star lineup of comedians.
The show is scheduled for Saturday, August 29 at 8 p.m. at Theatre Three, located at 412 Main Street in Port Jefferson.
Five performers are featured on the bill: Paul Anthony, Rich Walker, Richie Minervini, Rich Byrne and Mick Thomas.
The event brings together established Long Island favorites and nationally performing comedians for one night of stand-up in the heart of downtown Port Jefferson.
An All-Star Comedy Lineup
Paul Anthony, the official host of the Long Island Comedy Festival, will lead the evening.
Anthony has been a central figure behind the festival, which has brought live stand-up performances to venues throughout Long Island.
Joining him is Rich Walker, billed by the festival as a Long Island favorite and headliner.
Richie Minervini, a veteran national headliner whose credits include The King of Queens, is also scheduled to perform.
The lineup continues with national headliner Rich Byrne, whose credits include appearances on Showtime and HBO.
Rounding out the show is Mick Thomas, a national headliner whose credits include Comedy Central and performances on the New York City comedy scene.
With five comedians appearing during the same show, audiences can expect a mix of personalities, material and comedic styles throughout the evening.
Comedy Close to Home
The Long Island Comedy Festival has built its identity around bringing professional stand-up comedy directly to audiences across Nassau and Suffolk counties.
Saturday’s performance gives Suffolk County residents another opportunity to see a multi-comedian show without having to travel into Manhattan.
Theatre Three also puts the event in the center of Port Jefferson’s downtown, allowing audience members to turn the performance into a complete night out with the village’s restaurants, shops and waterfront nearby.
