Suffolk County Police arrested three bartenders at the Celtic Tavern in Kings Park Saturday night for allegedly selling alcohol to underage customers.
Fourth Precinct Crime Section Officers, the New York State Liquor Authority, and Smithtown Fire Marshals conducted an SLA inspection at the Celtric Cross-Tavern, located at 83 Pulaski Road in Kings Park at approximately 10 p.m.
During the time of the investigation authorities observed over 200 underaged patrons at the establishment.
A shotgun was also found during the investigation.
Following the investigation a 19-year-old bartender from Sayville was arrested and charged with three counts of Unlawful Dealing with a child 1st Degree. selling Alcohol to a person under 21.
A second bartender, a 19 -year-old from Kings Park was charged with two counts of unlawful dealing with a child 1st degree and selling Alcohol to a person under 21.
A third bartender, a 21-year-old from East Northport, was charged with three counts of unlawful dealing with a child 1st Degree and selling Alcohol to a minor.
They were all issued field appearance tickets and scheduled to appear at the First District Court in Central Islip at a later date.
The Smithtown Fire Marshall issued summonses for 10 code violations and closed down the establishment. The business will remain closed until the violations are corrected and the building is re-inspected.
