The search is on for a 16-year-old boy from Long Island who has been absent for more than a week and the authorities are seeking assistance.
According to Suffolk County Police, David Smith departed from his residence on Cedar Road East in Mastic Beach at approximately 5 p.m. on Monday, May 1, and has not been seen since.
On Friday, May 5, the teenager was reported missing by his relatives.
He is a Black-Hispanic male, measuring 6-feet-1-inch in height and weighing 220 pounds. He has curly brown hair and brown eyes, and was last spotted wearing blue jeans and a black hooded sweatshirt.
